A man has appeared in court charged with murder after a stabbing outside a pub in south London.

Carlton McKay, 27, of Thornton Heath, Croydon, is accused of killing Chris Isted, 25, from Croydon, outside The Ship pub on Croydon High Street.

He was also charged with attempted murder after another man, aged 25, received stab wounds during an incident on 31 March.

Mr McKay was remanded in custody by Camberwell magistrates on Saturday.

He will next appear at the Old Bailey on 16 July.
