Appeal over murder of Danny O'Shea in Canning Town
Officers have returned to the spot where an 18-year-old was stabbed in the neck in east London to appeal for information about the murder.
Danny O'Shea, 18, was found close to his home in Gill Avenue, Canning Town, last Friday with a stab wound. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police believe he was chased by a group before being attacked, but stressed the attack was not racially motivated.
Two men, aged 43 and 32, have been arrested and bailed over the murder.
Metropolitan Police officers gathered at the scene where Mr O'Shea was found and handed out leaflets to residents and motorists.
Det Ch Insp Larry Smith said: "We know there were people in the area at the time of Danny's murder and we would urge those people to come forward and help solve this crime."
Following the murder, Mr O'Shea's mother Julie Brewer said: "This is not racially motivated as Danny was a popular boy with friends from all cultural backgrounds.
"We do not want to see any local retribution."
