New arrest in Spurs Olympic fraud probe

A second person has been arrested over allegations Tottenham Hotspur spied on Olympic officials.

Police said the man, 39, was arrested at a Surrey address on Thursday morning "on suspicion of fraud offences".

He was taken to a south London police station for questioning and released on bail.

Another man, 29, was arrested earlier this month amid claims 14 members of the Olympic Park Legacy Company (OPLC) were spied on, which the club denies.

A Metropolitan Police spokesman said: "A second man was arrested this morning in connection with the investigation at an address in Surrey.

"He was arrested on suspicion of fraud offences.

"He went to a south London police station and has been bailed pending further inquiries, to come back in February."
