Police appeal over biker's death in Norbury

Police are appealing to a driver who may have witnessed a fatal motorcycle crash in south-west London to come forward.

A 40-year-old man crashed into a lamp post in Stanford Road, Norbury, at about 12:35 GMT on Saturday.

Police believe that the motorcyclist lost control of his black Honda motorbike.

They wish to speak to the driver of a car who may have seen it as they let another vehicle pass.

Acting Det Sgt Rob Hill, from the Road Death Investigation Unit, said: "This is a tragic incident where a 40-year-old man has died and has sadly left a young family behind.

"To ensure that we establish the full picture of what happened on Saturday, we urgently would like to speak to a witness - the driver of a car who had stopped giving way to another vehicle."
