An exhibition of Olympic-themed works of art has gone on display at London's Heathrow Airport.

The exhibition includes a bronze sculpture of the torso of Paralympic gold medal winner Lee Pearson.

Proceeds from the sale of the 50 works of art will be split between the artist and the British Paralympic Charity.

The exhibition is at one of the four expo locations at Terminal 5 which includes an open-space exhibition in the check-in hall.

Sarah Lewis, account manager for sponsorship and experience at Heathrow, said: "This exciting new exhibition honours the best of Britain's sportsmen and women as we eagerly countdown to the 2012 London Olympics.

"We believe that this art exhibition will be as captivating as it is unexpected."
