Teenager injured in Brixton stabbing

A teenager was left fighting for his life after being stabbed in a busy main road in south London during an altercation.

The 17-year-old boy was attacked in Brixton High Street, south London, at about 1910 GMT.

The London Ambulance Service was called and he was taken to an unnamed hospital in south London where he was in a critical condition on Friday evening.

A Metropolitan Police spokesman said he was in a stable condition by Saturday.

There have been no arrests.
