Man denies murdering his parents in Croydon

A man is to stand trial, accused of stabbing to death his parents at their home in south London.

Daniel Dighton, 35, from South Croydon, pleaded not guilty to murdering Barry Dighton, 61, and his 60-year-old wife Elizabeth last September.

Their bodies were found in their maisonette in Croydon after police responded to reports of a disturbance.

Their son appeared at the Old Bailey via a videolink and was remanded in custody until his trial on 11 October.
