Londonthorpe crash: Two dead as car flips near Grantham

Two people have died after a car overturned near Grantham, Lincolnshire.

Shaun Durham, 20, died when the black Toyota Yaris he was driving left the carriageway at High Road, Londonthorpe at about 23:35 BST on Thursday.

His 19-year-old passenger, who has not been named, died in hospital on Sunday, Lincolnshire Police said.

Mr Durham's family said in a statement they had been left "absolutely devastated" by his death. Police are appealing for witnesses.

The family said: "Shaun was a very kind, caring and fun young man who was loved by so many people.

"He had a bright and fulfilling future ahead which sadly now will never be.

"A huge piece of our hearts was taken as suddenly as our boy and we will forever miss him.

"Our thoughts and prayers now go out to his very dear friend and his family".
