Grantham Hospital fully reopens after fire closures
A hospital forced to close some services after an electrical fire cut power supplies has reopened.
Tuesday's fire at Grantham Hospital caused the closure of the accident and emergency department, a number of wards and the intensive care unit.
Operations were cancelled and only non-urgent cases were treated.
Dr Suneil Kapadia, medical director at United Lincolnshire Hospitals Trust (ULHT), thanked staff and patients for their support.
He said: "I'd like to say thank you to all ULHT staff for their hard work in ensuring high-quality patient care has been maintained and to the public for their patience and understanding."
Some patients were transferred to other hospitals during the loss of services.
