A woman has been arrested two weeks after an 82-year-old mobility scooter driver died in a hit-and-run crash.

Jim Dakin was driving his scooter in the cycle lane on Newark Road, Lincoln on 17 October when he was struck by a vehicle.

A local woman in her late 50s was arrested on Friday and released on bail, Lincolnshire Police said.

Mr Dakin, of Swallowbeck Avenue, suffered serious injuries in the accident and died later in hospital.

The driver did not stop at the scene of the accident, a police spokesman said.
