Boy, 16, charged over bus stop stabbing in Gainsborough
A 16-year-old boy has been charged after a teenage girl was stabbed while waiting at a bus stop in a Lincolnshire market town.
The 17-year-old suffered serious but not life-threatening injuries in Heaton Street, Gainsborough, shortly before 07:00 BST on Tuesday.
The boy, who cannot be named, was remanded in custody after appearing before magistrates in Lincoln.
He is charged with wounding with intent and possession of an offensive weapon.
The girl was taken to Queen's Medical Centre, Nottingham, where she was treated for a stab wound and has since been discharged.
