Two men killed in A15 crash near RAF Scampton

Two men died when the cars they were driving collided near an RAF base in Lincolnshire.

A 45-year-old man from Stainfield, who was driving a Land Rover Discovery, and a 59-year-old man from Scunthorpe, who was driving a Vauxhall Meriva, both died at the scene.

The crash happened on the A15 near RAF Scampton, just after 11:00 BST on Monday.

A woman in the Vauxhall car was taken to hospital with serious injuries.

A man and woman in the same car were also taken to hospital for treatment, but police said their injuries were not thought to be as serious.

Lincolnshire Police has asked witnesses to contact them.
