Lincolnshire Police said Mr Jennings was injured in an incident in Jubilee Road, North Somercotes, on 1 June.

The new charge was put to Mr Wadner when he appeared at Lincoln Crown Court.

No plea was taken and the 25-year-old, of Louth Road, South Somercotes, was granted conditional bail to appear at the same court on 12 September.
