Man in court over 79-year-old mother's Dunholme murder

A man charged with the murder of his 79-year-old mother in Lincolnshire has appeared in court.

Nigel Constable, 51, of Sherburn Road, Rastrick, Brighouse, West Yorkshire, was remanded into custody at Lincoln Magistrates Court on Saturday.

His mother Betty was taken to Lincoln County Hospital from her home in Merleswen, Dunholme, on Sunday at around 11:00 BST.

She died on Tuesday morning but the cause of death has not been released.

Post-mortem tests have been carried out.

Mr Constable will appear before Lincoln Crown Court on Monday.
