Former Gainsborough man jailed over indecent images

A man who admitted having indecent images of children on his computer has been jailed for two years.

Keith Gee, 57, of Robey Street, Lincoln, pleaded guilty to two charges of taking, and four charges of making, indecent photos of children.

Lincoln Crown Court heard he had 299 images in his possession, including one extreme pornographic image found on a computer disc.

Gee was banned from working with children for life.

Covert recordings

The former restaurant chain employee, who the court was told became depressed after leaving his job of 19 years, was also placed on the sex offenders register for 10 years.

The court heard Gee's computer equipment was seized by police after it was discovered he had been making covert recordings on a video camera.

Police found Gee had 259 images on a laptop at an address in Gainsborough, where he was living.

A further 40 images were discovered on a Dell Computer used by Gee, who had no previous convictions.

The offences took place between July 2012 and March of this year.
