Man's body recovered from Maud Foster Drain, Boston

A man's body has been recovered from a waterway in Lincolnshire after being spotted by a member of the public.

Police had been looking in the Maud Foster Drain, in the Mount Bridge area of Boston, since being alerted at about 12:40 BST.

A spokesperson said the body was recovered at about 18:00 BST and the death was being treated as unexplained.

The Maud Foster Drain is one of many waterways around Boston that help to drain the land, preventing flooding.
