Lincolnshire hospitals' plea to sick visitors

Visitors to hospitals in Lincolnshire have been urged to stay away if they have experienced diarrhoea, vomiting or flu-like symptoms in recent days.

Lincolnshire Community Health Services NHS Trust is trying to prevent vulnerable patients catching the sickness bug norovirus.

The trust, which serves Gainsborough, Skegness and Spalding, said sick visitors could put others at risk.

It added that Norovirus could be exacerbated by cold weather.
