Lincolnshire storm: Roads closed after heavy rain

Flooding has closed stretches of several major roads in Lincolnshire after heavy rain and severe weather.

Drivers are being advised to take care on the A15 at Osbournby at the A52 junction because of flooding and fallen power cables.

The A16 at Louth and A52 east of Boston are also affected by surface water, the Environment Agency said.

A flood warning has also been issued for Swaton, south of Sleaford, which was hit by flooding in July.

A parade and Christmas Market in Grantham is going ahead despite the poor weather.

An Environment Agency spokesman said: "Some areas are very treacherous at the moment, so we would advise the public to be very careful."
