Pedestrian dies after Lincoln zebra crossing crash

A woman who was hit by a car on a zebra crossing in Lincoln last month has died of her injuries.

The 93-year-old and her daughter were struck by a Ford Mondeo on the Boultham Park crossing shortly before 11:30 BST on 4 September.

The daughter, who was 63, was treated in hospital for serious but non life-threatening injuries.

The driver stopped at the scene but was not arrested. Police have appealed for witnesses.

The names of the two women have not yet been released.
