Assault charge follows Lincolnshire train driver attack

A 26-year-old man has been charged with common assault and criminal damage following an attack on a train driver at a Lincolnshire station.

Police were called to Heckington Station at 16:00 GMT on Thursday after reports a man had smashed a train window and assaulted a driver.

Shaun Doughty, of Kyme Road, Boston, was arrested at the station shortly after the incident.

He will appear at Lincoln Magistrates on 9 December.
