Lincoln Castle stages Biggadike musical show

The first performance of a musical telling the story of Priscilla Biggadike has taken place in the old prison at Lincoln Castle.

Children from Trent Valley Academy in Gainsborough, accompanied by local singers, took part in the production, which was part of a BBC Lincolnshire heritage project.

The show told the story of Priscilla Biggadike, who was hanged at Lincoln Castle in 1868 for the wilful murder of her husband Richard Biggadike at their home in Stickney. Her lodger confessed to the crime a year later.
