Spalding fire rescue equipment taken by burglars

Rescue equipment has been stolen during a burglary at a Lincolnshire fire station.

Thieves broken into the Spalding station on West Elloe Avenue some time between 2100 BST on Monday and 0645 BST on Tuesday.

Equipment taken from one of the fire engines included Holmatro brand generators, a cutter, a spreader, a telescopic arm and a hose.

Police said the items were potential life savers and appealed for witnesses.
