Lincoln bypass death woman is named

A woman who died after being hit on the Lincoln Bypass has been named by police.

Patricia Self, 61, from Hazelwood Avenue in Lincoln, was struck by one or more vehicles between the Carholme and Skellingthorpe roundabouts on Friday.

The carriageway was closed overnight but reopened at about 1300 GMT on Saturday.

Police said the investigation into her death was ongoing and they appealed for any witnesses to get in touch.
