Christmas presents stolen from car in Bassingham

Shoppers in part of Lincolnshire are being urged to be careful after a thief stole about £1,000 worth of Christmas presents from a parked car.

The thief broke in to the Mazda RX8 in High Street, Bassingham, at about 1930 GMT on Saturday.

Police said thieves often hung around car parks at this time of year.

Motorists are being advised not to leave valuables in their cars and to do all their shopping in one go then drive home with it.
