Youth charged with quarry murder faces bail hearing

The bail application for a teenager charged with the murder of man whose body was found in a Lincolnshire quarry will be heard at Lincoln Crown Court.

The 17-year-old, who cannot be named for legal reasons, was charged after the body was found off Mareham Lane, Sleaford on 17 November.

Police said the dead man was David Cowley, 67, who lived on Broadfield Lane in Boston.

A second boy, also 17, has been arrested and released on police bail.

The teenager will appear at Lincoln Crown Court on Tuesday.
