Man dies and seven injured in Lincolnshire crash


A man has died and seven people were injured, two seriously, in a crash between two cars in Lincolnshire.

It happened at Dunston Heath Lane, in Dunston Heath, when a Volvo S40 and a Peugeot 306 collided at about 1300 GMT.

The male passenger in the Volvo died at the scene and the female driver, who lives locally, was flown to Lincoln County Hospital with serious injuries.

Police arrested the driver of the Peugeot. Five of his passengers were hurt, one seriously.

The driver is being questioned on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving.

A six-year-old child, who was a passenger in the Volvo, was slightly injured in the crash.

Anyone who saw either vehicle before the collision or the crash itself is asked to contact police.
