Man with knife raids Boston petrol station

A man armed with a kitchen knife threatened staff and stole cash from a petrol station in a Lincolnshire town.

Police were called to the Total petrol station in High Street, Boston at about 2020 BST on Friday.

The robber, who was wearing a black balaclava and spoke with a local accent, made staff open the till and put cash into a plastic bag.

No one was injured in the raid. Police said the man made off on foot towards Wyberton.

He is described as about 5ft 10in (1.78m) tall, aged between 26 and 28 and had blue eyes.

Anyone with information about the robbery is asked to contact Lincolnshire Police.
