Warning ahead of major Lincolnshire roadworks on A15

Motorists are being warned to expect delays on a main route in Lincolnshire for the next three weeks.

The £230,000 repair project on the A15 between Lincoln and Scunthorpe means the road will be closed from 0930 GMT each day.

Lincolnshire County Council said the road would be resurfaced with skid resistant materials.

A four-mile (6.4km) stretch will be closed during the project with diversions clearly marked.

"We are keeping the road open until 0930 each morning so the morning peak rush-hour traffic can travel through unimpeded and then the road will be closed for the rest of the day until the contractor finishes," Lincolnshire County Council engineer Mark Curtis said.

The work is expected to be completed by 19 November.
