Skegness lifeboat crews rescue kite surfer

A kite surfer was rescued by lifeboat crews after he got into difficulty off the Lincolnshire coast.

RNLI crew members had just completed a training exercise with an RAF rescue helicopter on Saturday morning when they noticed the surfer.

He was rescued about three quarters of a mile off Central Beach, Skegness, after he became tangled in his lines.

An RNLI spokesperson said the man was transferred to the inshore lifeboat and then brought safely back to land.
