Urgent plea over Lincolnshire Poppy Appeal

The Royal British Legion in Lincolnshire said it was looking for more volunteers to help with this year's Poppy Appeal.

The charity said it urgently needed to recruit more people as many of its volunteers had retired.

More than £700,000 was raised in the county in 2009 to help ex-servicemen and women and their families.

The charity said collectors and appeal organisers were needed to help with the increasing demands on its services.
