Statue stolen from Stamford art gallery

A bronze statue has been stolen from a Lincolnshire art gallery.

The theft of the bronze bird structure from the Robert Fogell Art Gallery in High Street, Stamford, happened at about 1310 BST on Wednesday.

The statue was fixed to a bronze block and measures about 6in long and 12in high and worth about £1,200, a police spokesperson said.

Officers said they were looking for a man and a woman in connection with the offence.

The man is described as white, 5ft 8ins tall of thin build, dark hair and aged in his 40s. The woman is white, of slim build, blonde spiky hair and in her 30s.

Anyone with any information is asked to contact Lincolnshire Police.
