Man faces attempted murder charges over Leicester hit-and-run crash
A 23-year-old man has been charged with attempted murder after a hit-and-run crash.
A man in his 20s remains in serious condition in hospital after the crash in Eyres Monsell, Leicester, on 7 November.
Joshua Horne of Benting House Road, Leicester, has been charged with two counts of attempted murder, dangerous driving and driving without insurance.
He will appear at Leicester Magistrates' Court later.
The crash involved a pedestrian and a BMW X5 at the junction of Thurcroft Road and Hillsborough Road.
Leicestershire Police said one pedestrian was injured but another managed to avoid being hit.
Mr Horne has also been charged with intent to pervert the course of justice.
Two men, 25 and 23, arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender have been released under investigation.
A 24-year-old man arrested on suspicion of attempted murder was bailed pending further enquiries.
A 21-year-old woman arrested earlier in the month on suspicion of assisting an offender was released under investigation.
The car involved in the crash was later found abandoned nearby on Glen Rise.
