Leicester city centre stabbing: Man, 19, charged

A 19-year-old man has been charged after a teenager was stabbed in a fight in Leicester city centre.

The 17-year-old victim was in a fight with a group of people in Yeoman Lane on Friday evening, police said.

Tejuan Allen, of Helmsley Road, Leicester, has been charged with attempted murder and possession of an offensive weapon.

He is due to appear before Leicester Magistrates' Court later.

The victim is said to be in a stable condition in hospital.

A 19-year-old woman, who was also arrested in connection with the incident, has been bailed pending further inquiries.
