Boy stabbed in Leicester city centre street

A teenager remains in hospital after being stabbed in a city centre fight.

The 17-year-old boy was involved in a fight with a group of people in Yeoman Lane in Leicester shortly after 17:00 BST on Friday.

Leicestershire Police said one member of the group stabbed the teen to the torso before running off towards Humberstone Gate.

Detectives said the boy is in a serious but stable condition and are appealing for witnesses.
