Man dies after Braunstone Gate stabbing in Leicester

A man has died after being stabbed in the early hours of the morning in Leicester.

Police were called to the Braunstone Gate area at 03:50 BST, where the man was found injured.

He was taken to hospital where he later died.

A 28-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the stabbing and is being questioned, Leicestershire Police said.

Det Ch Insp Martin Holvey said: "We know there were a number of people in and around the area at the time the incident took place.

"If you saw the incident itself, or the moments leading up to it or afterwards, contact us."
