A second man has been arrested on suspicion of murder following the unexplained death of a "loving dad" more than a month ago.

Carl Pask's death was initially referred to the coroner when his body was found in his flat in Evington, Leicester, on 10 March.

But police were asked to investigate further and arrested a 46-year-old man on suspicion of murder on Sunday.

A second man, aged 39, has now been taken into custody.

The suspected cause of 47-year-old Mr Pask's death has not yet been released, and Leicestershire Police said it is being treated as unexplained.

Det Insp Martin Smalley said: "Despite the arrests, we would still like to speak to anyone who knew Carl and can assist with piecing together his final movements."

Mr Pask was described as a "devoted husband" and "loving dad" of two children in a newspaper obituary.

Police said he regularly attended Trinity Life Church in Upper Tichbourne Street, Leicester, and The Salvation Army in Kildare Street.

The 46-year-old arrested man has now been released on bail.
