Abhay Jadeja Leicester crash death: Two charged

Two people have been charged over a crash in Leicester which resulted in the death of an eight-year-old boy.

Abhay Jadeja died after the crash in Gipsy Lane, Rushey Mead, on 3 July, in which a car struck a telegraph pole.

A 16-year-old boy has been charged with aggravated vehicle taking and causing death by careless driving.

A 20-year-old man has been charged with aggravated vehicle taking. Both are due at Leicester Magistrates Court on 2 January.

The 16-year-old has also been charged with causing death by driving a vehicle with no driving licence and causing death by driving an uninsured vehicle.

Abhay was a back-seat passenger in the car.
