A 17-year-old boy has been arrested in connection with a suspicious factory fire in Leicester.

The former Corah plant, in St John Street, was left badly damaged by the blaze, on Saturday evening.

The teenager has been bailed pending further enquiries. Leicestershire police would not confirm the offence for which the boy was arrested.

Fire crews said an unconnected fire at a knitwear factory in Frisby Road on the same day was not suspicious.

There were no injuries at either blaze.
