Barrow Upon Soar post office targeted by armed robbers

A man has been threatened with a weapon during a robbery at a Leicestershire post office.

Two masked offenders forced their way into the branch on High Street, Barrow Upon Soar, on Tuesday evening.

After using an unspecified object to intimidate the member of staff, they left with a quantity of cash.

No-one was hurt but the victim was left "distressed". Officers have appealed for any witnesses, especially people in the area at the time, to come forward.

The suspects were described as being in their early 20s, 5ft 8ins or 5ft 9ins (1.73-1.75m) tall and of medium build.

They were wearing black woollen polo neck tops, black gloves and black trousers.
