CCTV released after jewellers robbed in Leicester
Police investigating the robbery of a jewellers in Leicester have released CCTV images of the suspects.
Four men, armed with an axe, knife and sword, threatened staff at Alankar Jewellers in Belgrave Road at about 1630 BST New Year's Day.
They escaped with jewellery including 22-carat gold bangles and wedding necklaces.
No members of the public were in the store at the time and nobody was injured.
After the robbery, the men ran to Wand Street and got into two vehicles, a silver Volkswagen Passat with a black trim and a white Peugeot Partner.
Appealing for witnesses, Det Con Sophie Stevens said: "We know from the CCTV footage the vehicles turned left at the end of Wand Street into Cross Street. However, we do not know for certain where they went next."
