Police find man's body after canal search in Leicester

Police divers searching the Grand Union Canal in Leicester have discovered a body after an extensive search.

Officers believe the body is that of a missing 67-year-old man, but formal identification will take place later.

Arthur Prosser, who had Parkinson's disease, went missing from his home in Saxon Street in Leicester on 3 December.

Divers searched a stretch of the River Soar in Leicester as well as part of the Grand Union Canal.

Mr Prosser's son Graham had launched a personal appeal for information about his missing father.
