Man dies in three-vehicle crash in Leicestershire

A 43-year-old man has been killed in a three-vehicle accident in Leicestershire.

Kevin Thomas McElhatton, from Rugby, who was driving a Ford Fiesta, died on the A426 Lutterworth Road in Dunton Bassett at about 0715 on Tuesday.

A 56-year-old man was arrested and has since been released on police bail.

The accident involved the Ford Fiesta, a white Scania coach and a blue Vauxhall van, a Leicestershire police spokesman said.

Police are asking anyone who saw the crash to contact them.

The driver of the coach received minor injuries but did not need hospital treatment. The van driver was not hurt.
