E-fit issued over sexual assault in Leicester

E-fit of sexual assault suspect Police want anyone who may have seen the suspect to contact them

Leicestershire Police have released an e-fit of a man they want to question in connection with a sexual assault on a woman in her 50s.

The woman was walking along a footpath in The Rally, near to Tudor Road, Leicester, on 8 January when she was approached from behind by a man.

Police said he then assaulted her causing her to fall to the ground.

The victim managed to call for help and as a member of the public came to her aid, her attacker ran off.

The suspect is described as white, in his 20s, more than 6ft tall and of slim build with brown hair.

He was wearing a dark hooded top, white T-shirt and dark jeans.

Det Sgt Nikki Forrest, from Leicestershire Police, said: "This has been extremely distressing for the victim and I am appealing for anyone who thinks they may recognise the suspect to get in touch immediately.

"I also would ask that anyone who was in the area of The Rally early on Saturday morning to think back to see if they remember seeing anything that may help with our investigation."
