Leicestershire families benefit from toy library

Children and families in part of Leicestershire are set to benefit from the opening of a new toy library.

The library, which has hundreds of items on offer, opened on Saturday at the Beaumont Leys Children's Centre.

Leicester City Councillor Vi Dempster said she hoped many children took advantage of the "fantastic facility".

It will open every Wednesday afternoon and Friday morning and visitors can choose a different toy each week to borrow, free of charge.
