Appeal over Leicester indecent assault

A woman has been indecently assaulted in Leicester city centre by a man on a bicycle.

The incident happened late on Saturday as the 19-year-old walked through St Martin's Square.

The man approached her from behind and assaulted her before riding off towards the Market Place and then turning to go back through the square.

Police appealed for witnesses. They said the woman was not injured but was left shaken.

The man is described as being white, aged between 18 and 22-years-old, approximately 5ft 10ins (1.79m) tall and of medium build.

He had light-coloured eyes, a tanned complexion and was wearing a dark navy hooded top with white stripes down the arms and dark coloured trousers.
