Harehills attack: Man stamped on and run over critical

A man who was kicked, punched, stamped on and run over by a gang of men in Leeds is critically ill in hospital.

The 49-year-old became involved in a row at the Misha Food and Wine store on Foundry Approach, Harehills, Leeds, just before 04:45 GMT on Saturday.

Police said three men attacked him, punching him to the ground before they left the shop and the gang got into a 4x4 vehicle and drove at him.

A 24-year-old man has been arrested and bailed over the incident.

A spokesperson for West Yorkshire Police said the car was later found burnt out.
