Sixth arrest over Christmas Day Krizma nightclub police car shooting

A sixth person has been arrested over the shooting of a police car outside a Bradford nightclub on Christmas Day.

West Yorkshire Police said the incident happened outside Krizma on Sackville Street while an officer interviewed an assault victim in the police car.

A 21-year old was arrested on Sunday on suspicion of attempted murder and remains in police custody.

A 47-year-old man and a 44-year-old woman were also arrested on Sunday on suspicion of assisting an offender.

Two men, 21 and 22, were arrested last week on suspicion of attempted murder but have been bailed.

The older man and woman have also been bailed.

A 19-year-old Bradford man has been charged with assault in relation to the disturbance outside Krizma.

Officers were called to the venue at 04:20 GMT on 25 December.

CCTV captured shots being fired at the windscreen of a police patrol car as an officer interviewed the victim of an assault.

The car, believed to be a black Seat Leon, was later found burnt out in Low Green Terrace in the Great Horton area of Bradford.
