Demolition work has started at a glass bottle factory gutted by fire in Leeds.

The single storey Allied Glass warehouse at Towngate Link in Cross Green Way went up in flames on Friday.

At its height more than 100 firefighters battled the blaze, which destroyed 10,000 pallets of glass.

No-one was injured in the fire, which broke out while 21 people were onsite. The firm's operations director Richard Summers described the damage as "catastrophic".

An investigation into the cause of the fire is under way.

West Yorkshire Fire and Rescue said three pumps were still dampening down.
