Tribute to 'cherished' crash victim Kenneth Parratt

The family of a man who died after being hit by a van in Bradford described him as a "cherished father and grandad".

Kenneth Parratt, 71, from the Swain House area, died on Friday on Idle Road at the junction with Myers Lane.

A 28-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving and failing to stop after a collision.  

Police said he is currently on bail while enquiries continue.

In a statement, Mr Parratt's family said: "He was a loved and cherished father and grandad.

"We can't believe he has gone. He will be sadly missed."
