Marcin Siarczylski towpath death: Murder probe launched

A murder investigation has been launched after police received new information about the death of a man found on a canal towpath.

Marcin Siarczylski, 37, was discovered near Low Mill Lane in Ravensthorpe, Dewsbury on 14 March.

West Yorkshire Police said they now believe Mr Siarczylski "may have been murdered".

Two men, aged 25 and 20, from the Ravensthorpe area, have been arrested on suspicion of murder.

A 29-year-old man has also been arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender.

Det Ch Insp Mark Swift said: "We would like to thank the public for their response to our appeal last week for information about Mr Siarczylski's lifestyle or his movements prior to his death."
